| TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES | Its sapwood has a grey-reddish colour, completely different from heartwood which is dark-olive coloured with the presence of light and dark zones. The colour of its wood darkens in time and at the exposure to the light. The Ipè is heavy, very lasting and resistant to the vegetal and animal parasite attacks. |
| DRYING METHOD | The drying process is quite easy even if it has a tendency to warping. |
| MAIN USES AND WORKING | The manufacture of the Ipè is not always easy and can require the use of special tools. It can be used for the realisation of shipbuilding, general furniture, doors, stairs, baseboards and decking for external use. |
