TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES | The heartwood is light brown to pinkish brown. It has black stripes in the length direction, caused by traumatic resin canals. The sapwood has a lighter colour but is sometimes difficult to distinguish. It does not have clearly demarcated sapwood. The grain is straight and the texture is fine to medium coarse. |
DRYING METHOD | It dries normal to slowly with some risks of distortion. Drying requires care in order to reduce defects. |
MAIN USES AND WORKING | Tawarì can be used for several applications such as: high class furniture, panelling, veneer, flooring, sliced veneer, doors and fixtures in general. |
