The first is brownish white while the heartwood has different nuances that change from grey – brownish pink – walnut.
It is a decorative wood thanks to the good effect produced by its black streaks.
It is easily workable and very steady.
When seasoned it becomes hard and heavy.
Due to the discordant twisting it has light and dark stripes.
For the similarity with the walnut it is also called “African walnut”, but actually it has no affinity with the real nut.
The Bibolo-Dibetou is impact resistant and moderately resistant to traction, pressure and atmospheric agents.
DRYING METHOD It can easily be dried without problems.
MAIN USES AND WORKING Wood works well and easily.
